A devastating EF-2 tornado struck Leachville, Arkansas on December 10, 2021, damaging numerous businesses, including the local SGS ag retail facility. However, SGS emerged stronger than ever, reopening its new fertilizer warehouse in March 2023.
This rebuild signifies SGS’s unwavering commitment to the Leachville community. The state-of-the-art facility prioritizes accuracy and speed, ensuring efficient service for the full range of ag retail products and services offered by SGS. An expanded seed warehouse is already planned for the future.
The impressive throughput of the new facility has transformed it into a major hub for the entire SGS footprint. This has allowed them to decommission two older warehouses with lower capacity and outdated technology.
SGS boasts a rich history in Leachville, with a retail presence exceeding 24 years. The successful rebuild involved key partnerships with Sackett-Waconia, Marcus Construction, Easy Automation Inc, and Hays Equipment.
